JOSEPH WILTON 'DICKIE' WIGGINS

HOBUCKEN -- Joseph Wilton "Dickie" Wiggins, 66, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.

He was born in Wayne County Feb. 24, 1947, to the late Joseph Leon and Eleanor Gurley Wiggins.

Dickie was a member of Goldsboro Masonic Lodge No. 634 AF and AM, Scottish and York Rite Bodies and Sudan Temple of New Bern.

He was employed with Quality Lightning Protection Inc. of Raleigh.

A service to celebrate Dickie's life will be 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Garner officiating. Masonic rites will follow the funeral service.

Surviving are his wife, Jackie Grey Wiggins; daughter, Angela Duncan and husband, Lewis, of Springboro, Ohio; son, Joe Collins of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Diana Daughtry and husband, Bobby, of Goldsboro; brother, Douglas Wiggins of Goldsboro; sister in-law, Rose Wiggins of Goldsboro; brothers-in-law, John Grey and wife, Linda, of Sicklerville, N.J., and Thomas Grey and wife, Nancy, of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; goddaughter, Ashlynn Faith Ballance; several nieces and nephews; and his four-legged babies, Fergie, Kacie, Gracie, Hercules, Chipper and Scooter "Bug."

The family requests that memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Cripple and Burn Children, P.O. Box 490, New Bern, N.C., 28560, or Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the care and compassion shown to Dickie and his family.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, and at other times, at the home of Bobby and Diana Daughtry, 275 Parkstown Road, LaGrange.
