HOYT LEE HOLMES

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Hoyt Lee Holmes, 66, Seven Springs, N.C., passed away early Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, at his home.
A native of the Summerlin's Crossroads community of Duplin, he was the son of the late Drifty and Minnie Lee Arnette Holmes.
He had been involved in farming for most of his working life.
A service to remember his life will be held Friday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, and will be officiated by the Rev. Jeff Justice, and will be followed by visitation.
His family will be gathering at the home of Milton "Buddy" and Phyllis Holmes in the Scott's Store community.
Hoyt Lee is survived by four children, J. L., Timmy, Lee, and Barbara; his brothers and sisters, Patricia H. Bowden, Milton "Buddy" Holmes, Katherine H. Craft, Raeford Holmes, Sherwood Holmes and Joey F. Holmes all of Mount Olive, Pam H. Swinson of Fayetteville and Wanda H. Davis of White Lake; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Holmes and Wayne Holmes.
