MOUNT OLIVE -- Flora Ann Roberts Watson, 78, Beautancus community, passed away Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2014, at Carolina East/Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at Stanford Presbyterian Church, officiated by the Rev. Susan Wells, and followed by burial in Roberts Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home this evening (Monday), from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times, the family will receive at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that memorial gifts be made to Carolina East/Quinn Hospice, 748 S. Kenansville Bypass, Kenansville, N.C., 28349.

Mrs. Watson, daughter of the late Ned and Margaret Joyner Roberts and widow of Charles E. Watson, was a member of Stanford Church.

She perhaps will be best remembered for her loyal service as receptionist at Mount Olive Animal Hospital, where she offered friendly advice and support to its patrons and "patients," as well as being a team player with her fellow staff members and veterinarians.

She is survived by two sons, Eddie Watson and wife, Pat, of Beautancus and Billy Watson and wife, Brigitte, of Sanford; two daughters, Barbara Malpass and husband, Kent, and Wanda Clarke and husband, Joel, all of Faison; two sisters, Jim Hazel Stroud and Peggy Quinn both of Beautancus; a brother, Preston Royall and wife, Thelma, of Beautancus; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A sister, Nancy Sue Kornegay, also preceded her in death.
