Lucille Wynn Kornegay, 87, passed away Tuesday evening at Kindred Healthcare Center surrounded by her family.
Lucille was born March 4, 1926, to the late J.W. and Gertrude Carawan Wynn. She was married to the late Norwood Kornegay.
She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Lucille was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ross and husband, Gary, of Raleigh; son, David Kornegay and wife, Debra Sager Kornegay, of Hillsborough; grandson, Jacob Kornegay and his wife, Megan; and brother, Billy Wynn of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Wynn and Julius Wynn.
The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
