John Wilbert Sykes Jr., 62, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters. Burial will be in Atkinson Chapel Church Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 8, 1951, to John Wilbert and Sadie Bell Brown Sykes. He was married to Helen Sykes.
He is survived by five children.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will assemble at 504 S. Andrews Ave. at 9:30 a.m. in preparation for the processional.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
