CHARLES J. BISE

Retired Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Charles Junior Bise passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.

Chuck was born in Saltville, Va., April 8, 1933, to the late Clint and Emma Isom Bise.

He served his country for 28 years in the United States Air Force.

Chuck was also retired from Bridgestone Firestone in Wilson.

He was a member of Goldsboro Masonic Lodge No. 634.

Chuck was an avid golfer, and could be found many days enjoying the links at Lane Tree Golf Club. He also enjoyed spending time and working at the Family Y.

The family will greet friends Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, from 11 a.m. to noon at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mergie Smith Bise; his daughter, Coletta Campbell and husband, Shay, of Goldsboro; his granddaughter, Leah Campbell of Goldsboro; and his goddaughter, Paula Tyndall Steele and husband, Eric, of Goldsboro.

He is also survived by his sisters, Rachel Thomas and husband, Bobby, Elizabeth Miller and husband, Henry, and Linda Waddell and husband, Russell; his brothers, Herman Bise and wife, Becky, and Roger Bise and wife, Maria; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jean Bise, Johnny and Patty Hazelwood and Ben and Ruby Robertson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George Bise, Eugene Bise, Robert Bise and Harry Lee Bise.

Memorials in his memory may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
