BRONX, N.Y. -- Mathel J. Newton, 105, 1160 Teller Ave., formerly of Kenansville, died Aug. 31, 2013.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Encoh and Mary Middleton Newton.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with moderator James A. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Middleton Cemetery.
