CARRIE ANN BEST PETERSON

ELON -- Mrs. Carrie Ann Best Peterson, 81, 114 Georgetown Drive, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Liberty Commons.
She was the daughter of Raymond Best Sr. and Mollissie "Lissie" Baker Best, both deceased, and the wife of John Allen Peterson Sr., also deceased.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Donnie Wayne Best; two brothers, Raymond Best Jr. and Connie Best; and two sisters, Emma Best and Betty Rose Best.
Survivors include a son, John A. Peterson Jr. (Shannon) of Elon; a daughter, Mollissie "Mo" Peterson (Bob) of Burlington; three brothers, Otis Best Sr., Larry Best (Herlene) and Linwood Best (Janice); eight grandchildren, Donessa Darden, Michael Bingham, Adrian Bingham, Shantell Bingham, Johnna Bingham, Zachary Farrington, John Peterson III and Bobbi Faith Foster; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 2393 N. Beston Road, LaGrange, N.C. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.
Immediately following interment, the family will receive friends at 302 Cone St., Goldsboro, N.C.
The repast will be at Central Heights Free Will Baptist Church, 302 Ervin Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Alamance Funeral Service from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Public viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Alamance Funeral Service.
Alamance Funeral Service has the honor of serving the family.
