Retired Senior Master Sgt. Robert Lee Aydelotte, 60, crossed over to heaven Tuesday.
Born in Danville, Ill., he was the son of the late Jerry Lee Aydelotte and the late Margaret Neese Harrier.
Bob retired in 1995 from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service.
He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and American Legion Post 201, a graduate of Mount Olive College and was currently employed as North Carolina division leader at Sunspring N.A.
Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice; his daughters, Mrs. Charlene (Taylor) Massey of Charleston, S.C., and Laura Lee Aydelotte of Goldsboro, N.C.; his sisters, Mrs. Delores (Randy) Foster and Ms. Loretta Lowe of Oakland, Ill.; his stepmother, Mrs. Libbie Aydelotte of Newman, Ill.; along with numerous family members and good friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with pastor Terry Hobbs officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
Family members will receive friends in the sanctuary following the committal service.
