MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Gwyndolyn Dicksey Towles, 82, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Myrtle Beach Estates.
Born in Wilmington, N.C., Gwyndolyn was the daughter of the late George L. and Nell W. Dicksey.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Beaufort, N.C., and active in the Beaufort Historical Society and Friends of Fort Macon. She was also active in church work throughout her life.
Survivors include her son, John Towles (Kim) of Raleigh, N.C.; daughters, Nell Boyd (John) of Garden City, S.C., Beth Kingery (John) of Atlanta, Ga., and Leslie Towles of Raleigh, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Gwyndolyn was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Chowning Towles.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Beaufort, N.C.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at 1535 Front St., Beaufort, N.C.
