DUDLEY -- Benita Oates Smith, 47,116 N. Running Deer Circle, died Tuesday at UNC Hospitals.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 137 Veach Mill Road, Warsaw. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Newton Grove.
The family will assemble at noon at 109 Brenn Loop Road, in preparation for the funeral procession.
Born in Wayne County, she is the daughter of the late Willie Nathaniel Oates Sr. and Cora Jackson Oates and the wife of Johnathan Smith.
Three children survive.
Garris Funeral Home is serving the family.
