GARY G. FAIRCLOTH

SOUTH CAROLINA -- Mr. Gary Gene Faircloth, 67, who recently moved to South Carolina from Wilmington, N.C., died Tuesday, July 9, 2013.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, N.C., conducted by Derik Davis.

Mr. Faircloth was born in Wayne County March 17, 1947, to the late Otis Thaw Faircloth and Juanita Carr Faircloth.

Mr. Faircloth had been married for 41 years to Kay Elizabeth Livingston Faircloth.

He was a graduate of Goldsboro High School.

Mr. Faircloth served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Faircloth was a retired level 3 building inspector with New Hanover County government.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.).

Mr. Faircloth was Lutheran.

In addition to his wife, Kay, Mr. Faircloth is survived by a brother, Rudy Russell Faircloth, and two stepbrothers, Tommy Best and Harold "Jr." Sykes all of Charlotte, N.C.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Faircloth was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Gray Faircloth.
