Robbie Sewell Moye, 84, Goldsboro, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with bishop J.W. Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Robbie was born in Goldsboro Feb. 9, 1929, to the late John Argo and Lettie Lucille Ludlum Sewell. She was married to the late Elbert Earl Moye.

Robbie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many positions.

She was a member of Old Dobbs County Genealogical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution and North Carolina Colonial Dames XVII Century, and served as the assistant director for the Family History Center.

She was an avid genealogist, and had been researching for more than 50 years.

Robbie is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Phil Miller of Wake Forest; LaVon and Chris Chaney of Birmingham, Ala., and Cheryl Briley of Raleigh; seven grandchildren, Tracie Miller, Kaitlin, Sydney and Hampton Briley and Blake, Sloan and Seth Chaney; and son-in-law, Greg Briley of Raleigh.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John L. Sewell and Billy Edward Sewell, and sisters, Kathleen Sewell Lancaster and Lois Sewell Carr.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral Monday, May 27, 2013, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
