LUCY LEE ODOM

June 20 1930-May 12, 2013

BENTONVILLE -- Mrs. Lucy McCullen Lee Odom, 82, the Bentonville area, passed away Sunday morning, May 12, 2013, at Wake Medical Center. By her death coming on Mother's Day, she received the best mother's day present possible -- being ushered into the presence of her Lord and savior.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Mill Creek Christian Church, officiated by Dr. Jerry Burton, and followed by interment in Mill Creek Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home Tuesday, May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times at Mrs. Lucy's residence.

A longtime resident of the Bentonville area, she and her husband, the late Tann W. Lee, were farmers and longtime members of Mill Creek Christian Church.

They, too, were widely known among square dancing circles.

After Mr. Lee's death, in time, she then married Norwood C. Odom, a retired funeral home operator, and relocated to his home in Mount Olive, and after his passing, she returned to Bentonville.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Eugene McCullen and Rosa Sasser McCullen, and was also preceded in death by her siblings and a son-in-law, Judge Ralph Robertson.

Surviving family members include four children, Pat Lee Robertson of Richmond, Va., Wilson Lee and wife, Janet, of Bentonville, Ann Lee of Mount Olive and Christie Lee Golladay and husband, Mark, of Bentonville; five grandchildren, Dr. Ann Vaughters and husband, Charles, of Richmond, Nick Robertson of Austin, Texas, Hannah White, Will White and Leanna White all of Bentonville; two great-grandchildren, Elsie Jane Vaughters and Lee Vaughters of Richmond; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys McCullen of Goldsboro and Sadie Lee Kennedy of Richmond.

Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, D.C., 20090; St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105; or Bible Broadcasting Network, P.O. Box 7300, Charlotte, N.C., 28241.
