MARY LEE PATE

Mary Lee Poythress Pate, 90, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Brian Center surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Pate was born in Wilson County March 28, 1923, to the late John and Eunice Newsome Poythress. She was married to the late Jasper Pate.

Mrs. Pate retired from Borden Manufacturing Co.

A service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Pate is survived by her daughters, Peggy Anderson of Alice, Texas, Brenda Perry and husband, Wilbur, of LaGrange and Betty Lou Etheridge and husband, J.D., of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Brian Center for the love and care it provided for Mrs. Pate. Simple words cannot express our gratitude.

Also, a special thank you to caregivers, Crystal, Courtney, Mrs. Gertie and Mrs. Bertha, who cared for Mama over these past years.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Brenda and Wilbur Perry, 184 Mark Edwards Road, LaGrange.
