MILDRED WALLACE EVERETTE

April 23, 1921-May 10, 2013

Mildred Wallace Everette, 92, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Mildred was born in Montgomery County on April 23, 1921, to the late Eli Carr Wallace and Mazie Nolley Wallace.

She was married to the late Lewis Thurman Everette Jr. Mildred was a retired school teacher with the Wayne County Public School System and Meredith College.

A service celebrating Mildred's life will be held at a later date at the Raleigh Moravian Church.

Mildred is survived by her son, Michael Everette and wife, Becky, of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Serena Slade and husband, Benjamin, of Farmville and Sarah Everette of Richmond, Va.; and her nephews, Eddie Petway of Wilson, Benjamin Glover of Maggie Valley and Robert Glover of Morehead City.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by the aunt and uncle that raised her during the Depression, Bertha W. and Otho B. Bowling of Wilson, N.C.; as well as sisters, Josephine Petway and Hiawatha Glover.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
