SANDRA COLEY THOMAS

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Sandra "Tootsie" Coley Thomas, formerly of Wayne County, died March 13, 2013, of metastatic lung cancer.
A celebration of life was held in her honor March 18, 2013, at Canaan Baptist Church in New Castle, Del., where she was a member.
She was the daughter of the late James "Jim" and Sarah Coley, and a former member of Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Goldsboro.
Sandra had recently retired from Christina School District of Wilmington, Del., after 38 years of exemplary service.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kim Thomas Odom and her husband, Audwin Odom; two grandsons, who were the joy of her life, Amil Thomas Odom and Audwin Lewis Odom, III.; two sisters, Shirley (Leslie) Swain of Goldsboro and Hurley Dotten of Malden, Mass.; three brothers, Earnest of Goldsboro, James (Harriett) of Somerdale, N.J., and Maryland (Ellen) of Stockbridge, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Eunice Smith, Mary Braswell and Ophelia Coley; former husband, Clarence Thomas and his wife, Patricia; godchildren, Aries Brinson, Danielle Richard and Ettrick Coley; special friends, Carol Martz, Malvine Richard and Sharon Young; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Sandra went home to join her parents and four brothers, Charles, David, Eddie B. and William Coley, who all welcomed her to glory.
