FREMONT -- Ricky Bass, 48, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. A graveside will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Ricky was born in Wayne County Sept. 18, 1964, to Bonnie Hugh and Faye Bass of Fremont.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Richard Lee Bass and wife, Victoria, of Pikeville, and a brother, Kenneth Hugh Bass and wife, Michelle, of Rhode Island.
