Catherine Denise Jennette Wiley, 50, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Catherine was born in Panama City, Fla., Nov. 7, 1961, to the late Evander Jennette and Barbara Darlene Jennette Padgett.
She always enjoyed her work with animals at Berkeley Veterinary Clinic. Catherine had also worked as a waitress with Michelle's Restaurant.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 36 years, Billy Wiley; daughter, Vanessa Thompson and husband, Brian, of Goldsboro; son, Dustin Wiley of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Keely, Cale and Finley Thompson; stepfather, Earol Padgett of Goldsboro; brother, Steven Morris Jennette of Madison, Ga.; and her special aunt and uncle, Jean and Mike Jones of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
