LIGHTHOUSE POINTE, Fla. -- Sidney Alton Barfield Sr., 75, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
Funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Calvary Chapel, 2101 W. Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale.
Alton was born on Jan. 9, 1937, in Snow Hill to the late Emma Barfield Atkinson and Tony Barfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy and Russell; sister, Virginia Dale; and a son, David.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Barfield; two sons, Al Barfield (Barbara), Michael Barfield (Debbie Doucette); daughter, Renee Ricci (Jimmy); and their mother, Betty Barfield; along with six grandchildren; seven stepchildren; 20 stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
