MAUREEN L. BURRELL

Maureen LaRochelle Burrell, 73, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at her home.
Maureen was born in Northampton, Mass., Aug. 23, 1938, to the late Napolean Joseph LaRochelle and Florence Burns LaRochelle.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Maureen was devoted to her church, and was involved in many activities where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.
She was employed as a registered nurse for many years.
Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Maureen is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Arthur James Burrell Jr.; her sons, Michael James Burrell and wife, Debbie, of Chesapeake, Va., James Patrick Burrell and wife, Sandra, of Wilson and Daniel Paul Burrell and wife, Lynn, of Clayton; and her grandchildren, Christopher Burrell, Justin Burrell, Alexis Burrell, Sarah Burrell, Jared Burrell and Jenna Burrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen Niedzwiecki and Gail Haskell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 6, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
