PERRY LAMAR TURNAGE
April 10, 1932-June 21, 2012
Perry Lamar Turnage, 80, passed away Thursday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Wilmington.
He was the son of the late Charlie and Letha White Turnage, and the husband of Christine Blow Turnage.
He retired from Kemp Furniture Co. with 42 years of service, and most recently worked at Mount Olive College in landscaping.
He was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Vicky Baysden and husband, Mitchell, of Wilmington; three sisters, Mary Ann Cooke of Goldsboro and Kathleen Lane and Mildred Jones both of Seven Springs; a brother, Marvin Turnage of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Jason Baysden and Christa Baysden; and two great-grandchildren.
