ROGER KEITH SMITH
March 5, 1941-March 12, 2012
KINSTON -- Roger Keith Smith, 71, Kinston, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012.
Born in Duplin County March 5, 1941, he was the son of the late Troy and Clarabel Swinson Smith, and was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence R. Smith.
Mr. Smith was retired from Caswell Center, and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Brown Smith of the home; sons, Roger Darryl Smith and wife, Terry Lisa, of Goldsboro and Bradley Allen Smith and wife, Tiffany Ann, of LaGrange; grandchildren, Dereck Brandon Smith and wife, Kris, Brittany Ann-Marie Smith, Zachary Paul Smith, Elaina Ann Smith, Amy Smith and husband, Blake, and Nikki Kornegay and husband, Brad; and great-grandchildren, Noah Ray Smith, Logan Casey Smith, Hannah Lynn Smith, Hailey Blake Smith and Bentley Dean Kornegay.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Grace Fellowship Church, 327 Academy Heights Road.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Jason McKnight officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
