James Henry Kornegay Jr., 59, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Greendale Forest Nursing Home in Snow Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Sullivan officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Junior was born in Wayne County on Oct. 7, 1952, to the late James Henry Kornegay, Sr. and Rosa Bass Kornegay.
Junior is survived by his daughter, Brandi Bielby and husband, Patrick, of Snow Hill; his two grandchildren, Logan Bielby and Isabella Bielby. He is also survived by his brothers, Tommy Kornegay of Ohio and Jimmy Kornegay and wife, Claudia, of LaGrange; his sister, Lynn Kearney and husband, Pee Wee, of Dudley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Kornegay and his brother, Larry Kornegay.
The family will receive friends following the service today, Feb. 26, 2012, at Seymour Funeral Home.
