JAMES H. WADE

James Henderson Wade, 72, passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 19, 2012, at 6 p.m. at New Hope Friends Meeting, of which he was a member. Bill Garner will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center. Interment will be Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
James was born in Greene County on April 19, 1939, to the late Guy Wade and Mary Thomas Wade. He was employed as a truck driver with New Hope Feeds for over 30 years. James' passion was golf and he was a member of the Sleepy Creek Country Club. If it was a beautiful day, he enjoyed being on the links sharing shots and laughter with his friends.
James is survived by his wife of 48 years, LaDene Williams Wade; his sisters-in-law, Janet W. Clark and husband, Roger, of Pinehurst, Lynda W. Whittington and husband, Vince, of Glencoe, Ala., and Peggy K. Wade of Jasper, Ala.; 10 nieces and nephews, and 20 great-nieces and -nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carrie Thomas, and brother, John Franklin Wade.
