Deacon Levy Becton Sr., 90, of 1309 E. Walnut St., died Thursday at Mount Olive Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 until 7 p.m., with the family present receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home.
Eulogistic services will be held Wednesday at noon at Pentecostal United Holy Church, 600 E. Pine St., with the Rev. Willie officiating. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was preceded in the silent halls of death by his parents, Guilford and Winnie Hubbard Becton, and a sister, Ella Becton Wells.
Precious memories are cherished by his loving wife, Harriet Sutton Becton; his children- Marshell Becton of Goldsboro, Christine Becton-Burst, Leland Levy Becton Jr. of Greenville; Siblings Kenneth Becton, Margaret Becton Newsome, both of Goldsboro; and a grandson, Rielle Burst of Goldsboro.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, 1503 E. Elm St., where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
