PIKEVILLE -- Linda Joy Hagen Bentley, 71, lost her battle with cancer and fell peacefully asleep in death surrounded by family Jan. 16, 2012.
The memorial service will be held today, Jan. 22, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 600 11th St. in Goldsboro.
She was born Sept. 8, 1940, and married April 8, 1958, to her high school sweetheart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Laura Hagen; her sister, Shirley Hunter; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frederic H. Bentley, who was always faithfully by her side; her seven children, Barbara, Duane, Angela, Robin, Howard, Eric and Laura and spouses; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
