Patricia Gail Jones, 42, went to be with Jesus on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, surrounded by her family at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service in the chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lewis Baker and the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Patricia was born in Wayne County on Sept. 20, 1969, to Judy Mooring Jones of Goldsboro and the late Albert Leo Jones. She was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and had been involved in the HOPE program at the Wayne Opportunity Center. Patricia was a loving child and will be missed dearly by her family. She was an angel on earth and her smile could warm anyone's heart.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Albert Leo Jones Jr. and wife, Margo, and their children, Adam, Jacob and Olivia of Wilmington.
