PEARL HERRING LYNN

MOUNT OLIVE -- Pearl Herring Lynn, 92, of 1586 Summerlin Crossroads, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be today, Dec. 4, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Maynard Quinn officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.

Pearl worked hard on the farm, and later ran a country store at Westbrooks Crossroads for many years where the people in the community loved coming to shoot pool. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara and Louis Herring; her husband, Herbert Lynn; and her son, Billy Ray Garner.

She is survived by four daughters, Jean Jones and husband, Skeet Jones, of Albertson; Ann Hall and husband, J.W., of Mount Olive; Jan Summerlin and husband, Sonny, of Mount Olive; Linda Bennett of Seven Springs; 14 grandchildren, Tim Garner, Kathy Garner, Amber Garner, Terry Miller, Kemp Britt, Tammy Register, Vonda Grady, Carolee Myers, Jimmy Hall, Rhonda Hall, Lynn Best, Randee Walker, Krystal Bennett, Dustin Bennett; and 22 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Rhonda Hall for everything she has done for her grandmother.

Visitation will be held after funeral service today, Dec. 4, 2011.
