Linda Faye Jones, Patetown community, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Pikeville Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Berry and Mattie Jones; her brothers, Elvin and David Jones; and her sisters, Rachel Allen and Otena Quinn.
Surviving are two sons, Leotis "Leo" F. Jones and wife, Theresa, and Randy L. "Sarge" Jones and wife, Jaime; two grandchildren, Benjamin Jones and Tonya Cooksey; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Cooksey and Elizabeth Watts; her beloved sister, Brenda Jones of the home; sisters, Allene Harris, Myrtle Holland, Vonnie Bailey, Hilda Gurley and Nellie Ensico; and her extended family, Linda and Tracy Price and Cristina Holland.
The family will receive friends following the service at Howell Funeral Home Thursday evening, and other times at the home of Randy and Jaime Jones, 847 Saulston Road in Goldsboro.
