DONNIE L. FANN

Donnie Lee Fann, 87, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Donnie was born in Johnston County Sept. 16, 1924, to the late Arthur C. Lee and Sarah Wilkins Lee.

She worked as a teacher for Wayne County Public Schools, and was a member of the North Carolina Retired School Personnel.

Donnie was also a devoted pastor's wife, serving 25 years in ministry with her husband, the Rev. Ezra Bryan Fann, who preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2008. She was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, from 11 a.m. to noon at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service of remembrance at noon in the chapel, with pastor Bill Rose officiating. A private interment for the family will follow at Princeton Cemetery.

Donnie is survived by her son, Bryan Fann of Wilmington; her sister, Panzy (Pat) Reed of Portsmouth, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her dear friends and caregivers, Sandra and Charles Coletrain.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sara Thompson and Gertrude Perkins, and her brother, Cleveland Lee.
