PRINCETON -- Kate Bracewell Godwin, 86, Princeton, died Sept. 26, 2011.
She was the widow of Raymond E. Godwin, and was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Fredrick Bracewell.
Mrs. Godwin was an active member of Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the ladies' auxiliary.
She was also a member of Pine Level American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Pipkin and husband, Randy Parrish, of Princeton; son, Gene Godwin of Princeton; brothers, Hubert Bracewell and Dan Bracewell both of Florida; sisters, Esther Woodham of Texas, Pauline McFatter of Florida and Ruth Claunce of Georgia; grandchildren, Kim Pipkin Keen and husband, Robert, Michael Leonard and wife, Kelly Edwards, Amanda Parrish, Natalie Thompson and husband, Jeff, and Neil Godwin and wife, Melissa; great-grandchildren, Lacey and Gus Godwin; and a great-great-grandchild, Mikayla Leonard.
The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
