Charles "Lo" Lorenzo Turnage, 80, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Lester William and Anna Pelt Turnage and the husband of Virginia Boyette Turnage.
Charles was retired with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and a member of the Woodman of the World, where he served as vice president. He attended Riverside Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Devonya Turnage Massey and husband, Tommy Glenn Massey, and Shelia Turnage Millard, all of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Amy Dawn Massey of Raleigh, Kevin Wayne Massey and his wife, Brittney Massey, of Goldsboro.
