ANNA YVONNE DAVIS BATCHELOR

Anna Yvonne Davis Batchelor, 76, a loving wife and mother, went home to be with her Lord and savior Thursday at Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Onslow County, she was the daughter of the late Burl Hall and Margaret Estelle Whitman Davis. She was the wife of the late James Robert Batchelor Sr. for more than 43 years.
A member of Emmaus Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Johnny Sasser Sunday school class.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Johnny Sasser and the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. A committal service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Davis Family Cemetery, Five Mile Road in Richlands.
Mrs. Batchelor is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James Robert Jr. and Winifred Batchelor of Calypso, William Burl Batchelor of Jacksonville and Donald John and Belinda Batchelor of Mount Olive; her daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Doris and Aaron Byrd of Dudley and Linda Ruth and Dennis Peterson of Seven Springs; her brother, Marshall Davis of Abilene, Texas; her sisters, Lois Arnold, Betty King, Frances Roberts and Angie Thomas all of Richlands and Margaret Webber of Jacksonville; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Family members will greet friends following the service Sunday evening at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Doris and Aaron Byrd, 1210 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley.
