In profound sorrow and pain, Haskins Funeral Home announces the triumphant passing of James Thomas "Tommy" Haskins, 76, of 507 Manchester St., Wilson.

Daddy will be funeralized Wednesday at noon at St. John AMEZ Church. His custom stainless steel full couch onyx casket will be placed in an authentic 1892 Cunningham horse-drawn hearse for his journey to Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Haskins was the loving father of Petty Officer (Retired) Hal Haskins and the Rev. Ernie Haskins, owner and founder of Haskins Funeral Home.

His mortal frame will be laid to rest with military honors.

Warm and loving memories remain and are forever cherished by his devoted sons, Petty Officer (Retired) Hal Haskins of Norfolk, Va.; the Rev. Ernie Haskins of Goldsboro; his loving granddaughter, Heather Haskins of Raleigh; his sisters, Connie H. Brockington of Far Rockaway, N.Y., Ruth Haskins of Jamaica, N.Y.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Haskins will lie in repose for viewing Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home 601 E. Ash St.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at St. John AMEZ Church, 119 N. Pender St., Wilson.

To honor the memory and legacy of my father, the grand opening, open house and dedication of Haskins Funeral Home, 601 E. Ash St., will be held today at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. All are invited to attend.
