SEVEN SPRINGS -- Wanda Herring Herring, 50, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth Dawson Herring.
Wanda was a member of St. John Free Will Baptist Church.
She enjoyed being a wonderful mother and grandmother, and helping with family. Some of her pleasures in life were working in her yard with flowers and playing computer games.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Park.
Surviving are her husband, Glenn Herring; children, Kristin Brooke Herring of the home, Shannon H. Miller of Seven Springs and Devin Herring and wife, Kisha, of Newport News, Va.; sisters, Gail Kirby and husband, Carl, of Pikeville, Jewel Ivey and husband, Ted, of Goldsboro, and Gloria Keesee and husband, David, of Goldsboro; brother, Kent Herring and wife, Elaine, of Goldsboro; and grandchildren, Joshua Kelly, Katelyn Kelly and Issac and Isaiah Herring.
Wanda was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother, Nelson Herring.
The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday night at the funeral home.
