Mrs. Ethelene Head Chase, 93, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mrs. Chase was a native of Greene County, and a member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with the Rev. Terry Heath officiating. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, at Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Chase was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Chase; a son, Kenneth Chase; two grandchildren; and her siblings.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Chase Head and husband, Kermit, of Snow Hill, and Sybil Chase Mabe of Rockingham, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service Wednesday evening, and other times at the home of Kermit and Pat Head, 5021 U.S. 13 South, Snow Hill.
