ALBERTSON -- Jean Vinson Rouse went to be with her Lord and savior Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
She was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Carrie Vinson, and sister, Kay Vinson Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery in Kinston.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011, at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
Jean is survived by her devoted and loving husband of more than 54 years, Willie Rouse; two sons, J.R. Rouse and Steve Rouse; two daughters, Sandra Rouse Dixon and husband, Melvin, and Linda Rouse Murphy and husband, Morris; nine grandchildren, Jamie Rouse, Jeremy Rouse, Jessica Rouse, Jennifer Murphy Sumner and husband, Monty, Justin Murphy and wife, Julie, Trent Thigpen, Jakeb Rouse, Kayla Dixon and Mackenzie Rouse; five great-grandchildren, Jeremy Rouse Jr., Jasmine Rouse, Jenna Sumner, Jayden Rouse and Adeline Murphy; a brother, Russell Vinson and wife, Brenda; and a sister, Janet Smith and husband, Dennis.
