DUDLEY -- Robert James Gurley Sr. died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70 West of Goldsboro. Interment will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Coastal State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Point Road, Jacksonville, N.C., with military honors.
He was a native of Durham, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Olive King Gurley and Cephus Cohen Gurley.
Surviving by four children and four siblings.
The family requests that memorials be made to City of Hope, 1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte, Calif., 91010
