Mr. Larry Donnell McCoy, 56, formerly of 202 Brazil, St., Goldsboro, N.C., departed this life to the heavenly courts of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Greenleaf Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church, 2110 N. William St., Goldsboro, N.C., with the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park North on Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
A public viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C., from 3 to 7 p.m.
The family will receive friends at 284 E. Seymore Drive, Goldsboro, and at 1901 Nahunta Road, Pikeville, N.C.
Saturday the family will assemble at 11:45 a.m. at 1901 Nahunta Road in preparation for the processional Saturday.
Mr. McCoy is survived by three brothers, Kenneth and Jerry McCoy of Goldsboro, N.C., and Eddie (Darlene) of Zebulon, N.C.; three sisters, Neida Hall (Kevin) of Pikeville, N.C., Mary McCoy of Goldsboro N.C., and Rachel Saunders of Columbus, Ohio; two aunts, Martha Williams of Goldsboro, N.C., and Mary King of Dunn, N.C.; two uncles, Robert McCoy of Goldsboro, N.C., and William McCoy of Raleigh, N.C.; nieces; nephews; cousins; a special father; brother and family, James, Curtis and family; and a special goddaughter, Sonya Pridgen.
