LAGRANGE -- Elizabeth Ginn Smith, 77, LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011.
Elizabeth was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Greene County to the late Fred Franklin Ginn and Maggie Davis Ginn.
Elizabeth was a lady of great faith with a tremendous love for her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and previously worked as a cook with City Cafe in LaGrange and Arlene's Restaurant in Kinston.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Interment will be Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Bryant Rouse officiating.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 61 years, Zeb Berry Smith; three children, Sandra Vaughn of LaGrange, Zeb Franklin Smith and wife, Wanda, of LaGrange and Guy Berry Smith and wife, Vera, of LaGrange; sister, Virginia Rouse of Morehead City; brother, Norman Ginn of Grifton; five grandchildren, Shelly Bailey, Billy Vaughn, Crystal Smith, Dylan Smith and Brandon Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Kevin Bailey, Christopher Tubbs and Destiny Vaughn.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Steven Hooker Jr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service of remembrance, and at other times they will be at the home.
