FREMONT -- Mary Esther Alston, 76, 306 S. Vance Street, died Saturday at the University of North Carolina Women's Center in Chapel Hill.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. James Church of Christ in Fremont, with the Rev. Tony Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 4, 1934, to the late Milford B. and Cora Darring Dickerson.
She is survived by four children.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at St. James Church of Christ, and the family will be present to greet friends from 7 to 8.
Arrangements are being handled by Rhodes Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
