RUBY N. STALLINGS

LEXINGTON -- Ruby Hines Nunn Stallings, 88, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Lexington Memorial Hospital in Lexington, N.C. She had lived in Lexington with her son, Ray, and daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Stallings, for the past five years. She was a current resident of Alston Brook Nursing Home.
Ruby was born in Duplin County July 31, 1922, to the late Edgar Franklin Nunn and Maude Hines Nunn. She was married to the late Lazarus King Stallings Jr.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with her grandson, Lenny Stallings, presiding.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Ray Stallings and wife, Mary Sue, of Lexington, N.C., and L. Kay Stallings III of Burlington and fiance´, Jeannette Amash, of Haw River; daughter, Donna Henderson and husband, Jerry, of Kinston; her grandchildren, Erin Stallings of Seattle, Wash., Brooke Barksdale and husband, Drew, of Raleigh, Lenny Stallings and wife, Katie, of Concord, David Henderson and wife, Betsy, of Raleigh and Megan Henderson of Raleigh; and a sister-in-law, Katrina Nunn of Mount Olive. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Andy Barksdale, Mack Henderson, Nathan Stallings and Natalie Stallings.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Parham Nunn of Mount Olive, and sister, Edna Douglas of Wilson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
