CHRISTINE CRAWFORD JONES

PIKEVILLE -- Christine Crawford Jones, 83, resident of Countryside Assisted Living in Pikeville, formerly of Salem Church Road, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held by the graveside today (Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010) at 4 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery, with the Rev. Bryant Rouse officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
She was born in Wayne County July 31, 1927, to the late Troy Herman Crawford and Mary Sutton Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Sam Jones, and two brothers, James H. Crawford and Eugene Crawford.
Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Joseph Methodist Church in Pikeville, and was a graduate of Pikeville High School and Guilford College.
She was an avid duplicate bridge player, and also volunteered in crisis intervention for many years.
She is survived by very close and special friends, Sue and Charles Langley Sr. of Princeton, and their children.
Viewing will be held today (Tuesday) from noon to 2 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
