Matthew "Jack" Braswell Jr., 66, 613 Slaughter St., departed this life Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
His life will be remembered and celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in Old Mill Cemetery.
Precious memories are cherished by wife, Corine Lane Braswell of Fremont; his son, Demetrius Lane of Goldsboro; siblings Delmus (Betty) Braswell, Clifton (Debbie) Braswell, Timothy Braswell, Sammy (Terri) Braswell, Carolyn (Coy) Coley, Evelyn (Larry) Lofton and Ada (Herbert) Suggs of Goldsboro; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home of Goldsboro, N.C.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
