MOUNT OLIVE -- JoAnn Sanderson Grady, 67, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
JoAnn was born in Sampson County April 21, 1943, to the late Elton Sanderson and Juanita Coley Sanderson.
She was a member of Eureka Christian Church.
JoAnn was a caring, loving mother and grandmother whose primary goal was the happiness and security of her family.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grady Family Cemetery near the family home, with the Rev. Frank Purvis and the Rev. Patrick Muston officiating.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Pat Grady; her children, Eddie Grady and wife, Cherise, of Holly Ridge, Elton Grady and Betty of Clinton, Thomas Grady and wife, Tammy, of Fremont, Jackie Pender and husband, Junior, of Pikeville, John Grady and wife, Heidi, of Goldsboro and Joseph Grady and wife, Jane, of Goldsboro; her sister, Lola Goodson and husband, Ralph, of Suttontown; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at her home, 532 Corbett Hill Road in Mount Olive.
