ETHEL MAE "ET" BATTLE REID
Died Sept. 3, 2010
SMITHFIELD -- Ethel Mae "ET" Battle Reid 68, resident of Britthaven Nursing Center of Smithfield departed this life Friday at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Her life will be remembered and celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ Disciples of Christ in Pikeville, with apostle Kenneth Vaughn officiating. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Coley Cemetery in Pikeville.
Sacred memories are held dear by children, Tony Reid of Pikeville, Phillip Reid of Wilson and Myra Reid of Goldsboro; four siblings; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at 222 Booker St. in Pikeville, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral cortege.
