W. FRANK "FRANKIE" PERSON

PATETOWN -- William Franklin "Frankie" Person Sr., 67, of 3816 NC Hwy. 111 North, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Homegoing services will be held today at 4 p.m. at United In Christ Church on Patetown Road. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Lancaster Family Cemetery, 3750 Hwy. 111 North in Patetown.
Frankie was born in Wayne County on Dec. 26, 1942, to the late James and Pauline Pate Person. Frankie was a charter member of United In Christ Church and worked at Wayne Implement Auction for over 30 years. He was an avid farmer in the Patetown community and was known for his expertise and knowledge for farm equipment. Frankie was passionate about the Patetown Fire Department, where he served as a fire-fighter for over 50 years and was referred to as "Daddy Frank" to everybody he knew.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Faye Howell Person; one son, William Person Jr. and wife, Jessica; three daughters, Paula Davis, Lynn Sasser and husband, Jeffrey, and Peggy Person, all of Patetown; six grandchildren, Justin Davis and wife, Belinda, Lance and Monica Sasser, Megan and Hailey Turbeville and Emily Person; one brother, James "Perk" Person Jr. and wife, Laura, of Fayetteville; two sisters, Betty Kearney and husband, Tom, of Saulston and Joan Davis and husband, E.C. of Patetown; and one special aunt, Cora Beamon of Goldsboro.
