STUART RAY BARRATT JR.

GOLDSBORO -- Stuart Ray Barratt Jr., 75, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Stuart was born in Canaan, Conn., Oct. 12, 1934, to the late Stuart Ray Barratt Sr. and Esther Johnson Barratt. He was married 46 years to Maureen Halls Barratt.
Stuart served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and retired as a chief master sergeant in 1985.
He later worked at Best Distributing in the accounting department.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed dearly.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 25, 2010, at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park, with Pete Williams officiating.
Stuart is survived by his wife, Maureen Barratt; his daughters, Carol Borre and husband, Mark, of King, N.C., Sharon Roberson of Snow Hill, Diane Rawls and husband, Andy, of Wilson, N.C., and Karen Gibson and husband, Bobby, of Goldsboro; his son, Ian Barratt and wife, Theresa, of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Andrew Wallace, Chelcie Rawls, Kayla Gibson, Chris Mallard, Robert Gibson, Bryce Barratt, Matthew Borre, Tara Borre and Jessica Barratt; his sister, Lois Walter of East Hartford, Conn.; and his beloved pets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charlie Roberson, and his brother-in-law, Robert Walter.
