David Renfrow, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Home-going services will be held Monday, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Branch United Church of Christ, 5968 N.C. Hwy. 581, Kenly. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service. There will also be a viewing at Carron's Funeral Home, 325 Nash St., Wilson, today from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. At all other times the family will receive family and friends at the home.
Mr. Renfrow is survived by his devoted wife, Esther Barnes Renfrow of the home; and four children, Geraldine Shearod (Charles) of Camp Springs, Md., Linda Renfrow of Goldsboro, Brenda Roach (Raymond) of Washington, and Alton Renfrow (Johnnie Mae) of Tucson, Ariz. He also leaves to mourn his two sisters, Minnie Ayers (Harvey Sr.) of Goldsboro, Ruby Holley and the late Robert Holley of Wilson. He also leaves to mourn one brother, John O. Renfrow (Eula) of Wilson; one sister-in-law, Mollie Renfrow of Philadelphia, Pa. One son, David Jr. predeceased him. He is also predeceased by one sister, Penny O'Neil, and three brothers, James P. Renfrow, Burnice Renfrow and Vernon Renfrow. He leaves to mourn his memories 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
